Executive Committee

IDE Group’s executive committee is led by Julian Phipps

Julian Phipps, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer

Julian is an experienced Chief Financial Officer, having spent over 20 years working in the technology sector. He has worked for a number of large IT and Telecommunications businesses including Updata, Northgate Managed Services, Sungard Availability Services and Parity.

Merlin Gillespie, Group Strategy Director

Merlin has over a decade of experience in senior management, engineering and commercial roles, tackling the challenge of matching new technologies and changes in business process to meet increasingly complex customer needs. He joined IDE Group in 2016.

Kevin Garrod, Group Operations Director

Kevin is a senior business transformation lead, with significant experience in supporting the delivery of company visions by applying best practice throughout operational areas.

Sarah Coiley, Finance Director

Sarah qualified as a chartered accountant in 1998. Since leaving practice she has worked in a variety of companies from blue chip to owner managed, and most recently as a consultant to a private equity investment company where she specialised in acquisitions, business turnaround and growth.

Peter Thompson, Talent Director

Peter is an experienced Chartered FCIPD qualified HR professional with a track record of delivering results within complex organisations. He has a proven ability to develop and deliver HR programmes that are aligned to overall strategy to meet business needs.

Claire Botha, Marketing Director

Claire has extensive experience in marketing management, having held senior marketing roles at Calyx, Redstone and Redcentric. She became Marketing Director at IDE Group in 2016.

Tony Everson, Sales Director Managed Services

Tony is responsible for sales in our Managed Services business unit. He has been with the company since 1999, during which time he has held senior sales and sales management roles. Tony has deep commercial expertise and a wealth of experience in Managed Services.

Paul Toms, Sales Director Platform Services

Paul leads the sales team in Platform Services business unit. His career has encompassed sales management and director roles at technology firms and managed service providers. Paul has been instrumental in the commercial development of our platform business since joining us in 2017.
