Castle Street Investments is building a new management team, led by the CEO Andy Ross and CFO Julian Phipps which Matt Hawkins and Simon Mewett will now be joining as CTO and COO respectively. We are also very pleased to announce that C4L’s Senior Leadership Team will all remain, continuing in their current roles and will be an integral part of our new Management team moving forwards.
C4L accepted a strategic acquisition offer from Castle Street Investments because it represents our company’s best interests in its aspiration to become the foremost Infrastructure Services Provider in the UK mid-market. But more importantly, giving our customers and partners security and confidence and of course securing our team’s futures.
C4L has been a successful business for many years and we are very thankful for the role our customers and partners have contributed in that time. However, we all know IT is a highly competitive market where increased scale and access to capital is key. We believe CSI are the ideal partner to achieve this. They are a well-capitalised Public Company and are ideally positioned to enable our ambitions to be realised, obviously with our customers and partners continued and valued support.
Matt Hawkins, Founder & Chairman of C4L and now CTO of Castle Street Investments said: “The acquisition opens a whole new world for us, it really is all about the people. It gives us huge potential, financial security and doubles our customer base overnight. All the newly available products, training and resources we now have access to, will enable us to thrive even more. The future for C4L’s staff, clients and partners is now bigger and brighter than ever”
So what happens next?
We are sure there will be many questions about what will happen to our new organisation in the coming months. Essentially this transaction represents a change of ownership and the joining of two highly successful businesses, we are all thrilled at becoming part of a much stronger, larger, combined organisation.
Careers are safe and more prosperous than ever, our staff have always been our most valued priority, which is why we are so involved with schemes like Investors in People, indeed the talent we employ was a huge part of C4L’s appeal. Matt Hawkins and Simon Mewett will continue to be part of the Executive team in the newly formed larger business, they are not exiting and are proud to be part of C4L’s history and future, continuing to be a familiar support system for C4L employees.
Simon Mewett, CEO of C4L and now COO of Castle Street Investments said: “I have been through similar acquisitions many times in the past and was very protective of sharing C4L with the right people, however, our values, culture and future ambitions match and they wanted the whole C4L package which was extremely important to us, of which we are very proud.”
