C4L are extremely proud to have been shortlisted as a finalist for the ‘Network Project of the Year’ award. This shortlisting recognises our work expanding our South Coast fibre network footprint, installing high capacity connectivity from our Bournemouth Data Centre directly to the newly constructed Hilton hotels located in the town centre.
Network Computing awards
This prestigious annual event adopts a reader voting model to determine the results for most of its awards, this provides valuable guidance about which products, services and companies have made a positive impact on the industry and importantly its end users. C4L are delighted to be shortlisted for this fantastic award and hope that our network project for the Bournemouth Hilton and Hampton by Hilton, will demonstrate our commitment to increasing connectivity availability in the region, helping to develop the town as a Digital Hub and one of the UKs fastest growing digital economies.
The results will be revealed at an awards ceremony on March 17th at the Hotel Russell in London where we are looking forward to catching up with our channel partners and friends from the industry to watch the night as it unfolds.
Tony Furbank, Project Manager of the Network Project said: “Together with the support of Bournemouth Borough Council, The Hilton and our contractors, Concept Solutions People, this project has demonstrated C4L’s passion and commitment to vastly improve the internet infrastructure within our local community. Ultra-fast connection speeds from an entry of 100Mbps right up to 40Gbps are now available in Bournemouth and a number of local businesses are already benefitting from our investment. Connection to C4L’s network is now quick and easy for those businesses on this new fibre route from Bournemouth Town Centre to our Data Centre in Westbourne and then onto the internet.”
