The Skills Academy – Exchange 2013

This five-day Skills Academy workshop focuses on imparting the skills and knowledge required to install, configure and administer a fully functional messaging environment using Exchange 2013 SP1. Students will learn how to operate multiple mailbox and CAS servers as well as focusing on as many features of Exchange as possible. After completing the workshop, students will have the ability to be able to confidently manage Exchange 2013 in their own workplace. The Skills Academy workshops offer a better way of learning by building the skills and confidence required to work in a real-world IT environment. With a more time efficient and ‘hands on’ approach to training, resulting in hundreds of satisfied students, businesses have benefited from improved IT productivity and a rapid return on investment. Places are limited to only six per workshop guaranteeing each student an in-depth level of support to maximise their development.

  • • Plan & install Exchange 2013 including mailbox and Client Access Server (CAS)
  • Server roles
  • Create & configure mailbox databases
  • Create & configure mailbox recipients using GUI & PowerShell
  • Create additional recipient types – groups, shared mailboxes
  • Request & configure Trusted Certificates for CAS servers
  • Implement public folders with new Exchange 2013 architecture
  • Create & configure email address policies and address lists
  • Implement address book policies
  • Plan, implement and configure mail flow to external organisations
  • Implement multiple mailbox servers and CAS servers
  • Create, configure & test database availability groups and database copies
  • Implement network load balancing for CAS servers for redundancy and load balancing
  • Integrate Exchange 2013 with Active Directory Rights Management Services for
  • additional security
  • 5-Day ‘Hands on’ Workshop Delivered in a real working environment
